Run the monthly payroll
Create the month's pay run, check every payslip, add a one-off bonus or deduction, and get it ready to approve.
Payroll works one month at a time. A pay run makes a payslip for everyone employed that month from their salary and pay items. You check it as a draft, then approve and pay it.
Steps
-
Open Payroll. In the menu on the left, click Payroll. Past pay runs are listed with their status. New pay run is on the right.
Open Payroll -
Create the pay run. Check the Month and the Pay date, then click Create pay run. A payslip is made for every employee who worked that month.
Create the pay run -
Check the totals. The draft shows the gross pay, the deductions and the net to pay for the whole run.
Check the totals -
Check each payslip. Every card lists the basic salary, the allowances and the deductions, the paid days and the net pay.
Check each payslip -
Add a one-off if needed. In One-off for this month, type a name like Eid bonus, choose + Add or − Deduct, enter the amount and click Add to payslip.
Add a one-off
Tip Changed a salary, a pay item or leave after creating the run? Click Recalculate. One-offs you added are kept.
Good to know
- There is one pay run per month. Delete removes a draft run so you can start again.
- Nothing goes into your books until you approve the run.
