Labels with a barcode make the register and stock counts fast: scan instead of typing. Owlvix can make a barcode for products that don't have one, and prints the name, variant, price and barcode on each label.

Steps

  1. Tick the products in the list. In Inventory → Products, tick the boxes next to the products you want labels for. Then click Print labels.

    Tick the products
  2. Generate missing barcodes. Products without a barcode are flagged. Click Generate barcodes to give them one (an in-store EAN-13 code starting with 2).

  3. Set how many labels. Type the number of labels for each product, for example one per item on the shelf.

  4. Choose the layout. A4 sheet prints 3 × 7 labels for any office printer; Label roll prints one 50 × 25 mm label per page for label printers. Untick Show the price if you don't want it.

    Choose the layout
  5. Click Print. The labels open in a new tab, ready to print with your browser's Print button.

Tip For one product, use Print labels on its page. Generate barcode there gives it a code.

Good to know

  • Products that already have a barcode (from the supplier) keep it. You can type your own in the product's Barcode field.
  • The register finds a product by scanning its barcode or SKU in the search box.
