Set special prices with price lists
Give groups of customers their own prices, percentage discounts or quantity breaks, used on invoices, quotations and the till.
A price list holds special prices, for example for wholesale buyers or restaurants. Give the list to a customer, and their invoices, quotations and till sales use those prices by themselves.
Steps
-
Open Sales & Invoicing, then Price lists. You see your lists, their rules and how many customers use each one.
Open "Price lists" -
Click New price list and name it. For example "Hotels and restaurants". Pick the currency it is for.
-
Click + Add rule. A rule applies to All products, A category or One product. Add a minimum quantity for a quantity break, and dates for a limited offer.
Add a rule -
Set the price. Choose % off sale price, Fixed price or % on cost, and type the value.
Set the price -
Click Save price list.
-
Give it to a customer. Open the customer, click Edit, and pick the list under Price list.
Give it to a customer -
Save the customer. Their page shows the list. New invoice and quotation lines for them use its prices.

Good to know
- When several rules match, the most specific wins: one product beats a category, which beats all products. Then the higher minimum quantity, then the newest rule.
- Products without a rule keep their normal price.
- Untick Active to stop using a list without deleting it.
