Take card and PayPal payments in your shop

Connect your own Stripe or PayPal account so shoppers can pay online at checkout and paid orders are marked paid by themselves.

Connect Stripe for card payments, PayPal, or both. The money goes straight into your own account; Owlvix only sees whether an order is paid.

Steps

  1. Open E-commerce Store, then Online payments. Owners and admins see this tab.

    Open Online payments
  2. Paste your Stripe keys. In your Stripe dashboard, open Developers → API keys. Copy the Secret key (starts with sk_) and the Publishable key (starts with pk_) into the form.

    Paste your Stripe keys
  3. Add the webhook. Click Copy next to the webhook address. In Stripe, add a webhook endpoint with that address and the events checkout.session.completed and checkout.session.async_payment_succeeded. Paste its Signing secret (starts with whsec_) here.

    Add the webhook
  4. Click Save. Stripe shows as Connected (with test mode for test keys). Click Test connection to check the keys.

    Save
  5. For PayPal, choose Sandbox to try it or Live for real payments, paste the client ID and secret of your PayPal app, add the webhook the same way, and click Save.

    PayPal works the same way

Tip Start with test keys (sk_test_ and pk_test_), place an order in your shop with a Stripe test card, then switch to live keys.

Good to know

  • Saved keys are kept encrypted and only their last characters are shown. Leave a field empty to keep it.
  • Payments are in your company currency.
  • Disconnect removes the keys; shoppers no longer see that way to pay.
