Open the register
Count the cash in the drawer and open a register session before the first sale of the day.
Every day at the till starts by opening the register. You count the cash already in the drawer (the float), and Owlvix checks it again when you close.
Steps

Open Point of Sale. When no register is open you see Open the register, with your past sessions next to it.

Count the cash in the drawer. Enter the float you start with, for example the change you keep for the first customers.

Choose the warehouse you sell from (only with Multi-Warehouse). Stock for this session's sales comes out of it.
Choose the warehouse -
Click Open register. The session starts and the sell screen opens, ready for the first sale.
Open the register -
Follow the session. Back (or Point of Sale in the menu) shows the sales so far, cash and card, and the cash you should have in the drawer. Open sell screen takes you back to the till.
Session totals
Tip On a tablet at the counter, open the sell screen and leave it open all day. It is built for touch.
Good to know
- One register session is open at a time for your company. Close it before opening the next.
- Who can open the register depends on their role. A cashier login can open it and sell, but can't see your books.
