Give a discount at the register
Take a percentage off one item or off the whole sale on the sell screen, and see it on the receipt and in your reports.
On the sell screen you can take a percentage off a single line (one damaged bag) or off the whole sale (a loyal customer). The discount shows on the receipt and in the session report.
Steps

Add the products to the cart as usual.
Add the products -
Tap the cart line you want to discount. A Line discount % box opens under it.
Tap the line -
Type the percentage and click OK. The line shows the discount and its new amount.
Discount one line -
For the whole sale, click Discount at the top of the cart, type the percentage and click OK. It applies after any line discounts.
Discount the whole sale -
Check the totals. The whole-sale discount is shown above the subtotal; tax is worked out on the discounted amount. Take the payment as usual.

Tip Enter 0 to take a discount off again.
Good to know
- Discounts are percentages from 0 to 100.
- For customers who always pay less, use a price list instead: see Sell to a customer with their own prices.
- The session report shows the total of Discounts given.
