Protect your login with two-factor (employees)
Turn on two-factor login so you also enter a 6-digit code from an app on your phone, and keep your recovery codes safe.
Two-factor login protects your account even if someone learns your password: after the password you also type a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Authy or 1Password.
Steps
-
Open Security. Click the shield button at the top right of the screen. Two-factor login shows Off. Click Turn on.
Open Security -
Scan the QR code. Open your authenticator app, add an account and scan the code. Can't scan? Type the key shown under it into the app instead.
Scan the QR code -
Enter the code from the app. Type the 6-digit code the app shows for Owlvix and click Confirm.
Enter the code -
Save your recovery codes. Two-factor is now On. Copy the recovery codes and keep them somewhere safe. Each one works once if you lose your phone, and they are not shown again.
Save your recovery codes
Warning Without your phone or a recovery code you can't sign in. Keep the codes in a safe place, not on the same phone.
Good to know
- From now on, after your password you are asked for the code. Codes change every 30 seconds.
- Lost your codes? Click New recovery codes (you need your password) to make a new set.
- Your company may require two-factor for everyone. Then it can't be turned off.
