Log time on a project
Record the hours you worked on a project or task, mark them billable or not, and see your week in My time.
Log your hours as you go: on the project's Timesheets tab, or for all your projects at once in My time. Billable hours are what you invoice the customer later.
Steps
-
Open the project, then the Timesheets tab. You see everyone's hours, with what each entry was for and whether it is billed.
Open Timesheets -
Fill in Log time. Pick the task (optional), the date and the hours (1.5 is an hour and a half), and say what you did.
Fill in Log time -
Billable or not. Leave Billable to the customer ticked for work the customer pays for. Untick it for internal time. Click Log time.
Billable, then Log time -
See your week in My time. The My time tab lists your hours day by day, with the week's total. Log time for any project from there too.

Tip Use ← Previous and Next → in My time to look at, or fill in, another week.
Good to know
- Billable hours show To bill until you invoice them; then they show the invoice number.
- The hours count against the project's budget and its cost per hour.
- ✕ in My time removes an entry you logged by mistake (not once it is invoiced).
